TOP 10: What were the Strathy's most popular stories of 2021?

Happy New Year to all our readers and advertisers and thanks for your support over what has been a trying 12 months for most due to the on-going Covid pandemic.

Let's hope there is a return to normality in the coming year.

The story which proved to be the most read on the Strathy's website was one posted at the start of the year and unfortunately there was a sad ending with the passing of Scottish wildcat kit Huntleigh.

But also making the top 10 are stories including one which promises to be on the political radar for a while to come - the acquisition of large tracts of the strath for carbon emissions off-setting; a video of excellent snowsports conditions at Cairngorm Mountain last winter... unfortunately out of bounds due to the pandemic; and a visit by the stars of one of telly's most popular shows.

In the meantime if you have a story for the Strathy contact us at editorial@sbherald.co.uk
