AGCT director Mike Dearman said: “This application is all about providing a better experience for locals and visitors alike. We hope that we have achieved that with a strong business case and positive vision so we would encourage anyone with an interest in Glenmore to view the application and make their feelings heard.
Trust spokeswoman Kirsty Bruce said: “We’re delighted that FLS has officially validated and published online our application for acquiring the Glenmore Visitor Centre and Cafe through an asset transfer request.
“If approved, this will give the community a strong say in shaping Glenmore’s future and will ensure that all profits go back into improving the centre and visitor experience but it’s also a significant step forward in terms of community wealth-building opportunities.”
The trust is a not-for-profit organisation and.part of the plan would include signposting visitors to other local activities in an attempt to reduce some of the visitor pressures on Glenmore.
