Police officers have appealed for witnesses in the Corrour Road and Dalfaber Drive areas to contact them if they have any potential information – no matter how small – on the disappearance of Aviemore man James Brannan.

They renewed their appeal on Saturday afternoon a week on from the time that the 72-year-old went missing after watching the Six Nations rugby in a local clubhouse.

He was last reported as being in the vicinity of the Spey Valley Golf Club which is just a short distance from his home in the Corrour Road area.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We under took an appeal for witnesses in the Corrour Road and Dalfaber Drive areas of Aviemore on Saturday between 4.30pm and 6pm to speak to those who use these streets regularly and may have been in the area around the time of Mr Brannan’s disappearance.

"We are also continuing to appeal to anyone with dashcam footage who was in the Aviemore area on Saturday 5 February and the next day to review their footage for any potential sightings of Mr Brannan and get in touch with us via 101."
