Police appeal for information on missing Aviemore man James Brannan

Police are appealing for the assistance of the public to trace a missing Aviemore man.

James Brannan, (72), has been reported missing from the Corrour Road area of the village.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "James was last seen during the late afternoon of Saturday (February 5) in the area of Spey Valley Golf Club.

"He is believed to have been wearing blue jeans, a dark winter jacket and walking boots."

Mr Brannan is described as being around 5’10” in height and of thin build with medium-length grey hair and a grey beard.

The force spokesperson said: "Mr Brannan was reported missing today (Tuesday) and officers are concerned for his wellbeing and safety.

"We would urge anyone who has information regarding his whereabouts to contact 101 with reference number 1601 of 8 February."
