Jags boss Charlie Brown is looking for his side to cut out the errors and start taking their chances if they want to take anything from their Highland League visit to Station Park.

Strathspey Thistle travel to meet Nairn County tomorrow in search of their first win of the year and an important three points that could see them move further clear of bottom placed Fort William.

Nairn have bolstered their options since the teams last met in Grantown last October when a 90th minute Dylan Mackenzie strike denied the Jags a point.

The signing of Cameron Lisle, a name familiar to supporters at Seafield Park, has already paid dividends with the midfielder grabbing the decisive goal in a 2–0 win for County against Wick Academy last weekend.

Ronnie Sharp's side sit in ninth place in the Highland League, and have been enjoying better form on the road than at home, having only having recorded one victory at Station Park since September.

But Strathspey manager Charlie is under no illusions of the size of the task tomorrow.

He said: "Nairn are a quick energetic team who have a good blend of youth and experience.

"We have to be on our toes from kick off."

The Jags were unlucky not to take anything from a closely fought in midweek at home to Huntly, especially after taking the lead in the first half.

An equaliser and a second half strike secured the turnaround and a win for Huntly, who also had a man sent off with 20 minutes still left to play.

The match left Brown with a familiar list of frustrations.

"I have been happy with most of our performances. We just need to take away the mistakes and our inability to take some of our chances," he said.

"If we mirror our work rate and determination from Wednesday night, then we can give ourselves a chance. If we can cut out the errors, we can take something from the game."

The manager is not likely to make many changes ahead of tomorrow, but defender Chris Innes is expected to make a return to the squad.

The Jags have also had midfielder Jack Wardrop on trial throughout February, and the manager is hopeful of others being added.

"I plan to sit down with Jack in the next couple of weeks, along with another few players coming in.

"We are waiting on signing clearance for two players who have agreed to join us."
