The frustrating wait goes on for new Jags boss Rob MacCormack as the cold spell has taken its toll again.

Tomorrow's home match against Keith has been postponed with the Seafield Park pitch frozen and unplayable.

It has been a series of stop-starts for Rob MacCormack since he was installed as the new manager of Strathspey Thistle towards the end of last month.

Wednesday evening's home fixture with Huntly was postponed because of the snow too, and the previous weekend was blank for the Grantown club.

With the freezing temperatures continuing, Saturday was always looking doubtful too.

MacCormack has just overseen two games so far since taking charge – suffering a rude awakening with a 9-0 rout by Rothes in his first game at the helm followed by a much improved performance just a few days later in a 2-0 defeat away to title chasers Brora.

He told the Strathy: “It has been very frustrating. I’m still waiting to get started at home but what can you do about the weather?

“We just have to wait."

Tomorrow's matches between Inverurie Loco Works and Wick Academy, and Rothes v Deveronvale are also casualties of the weather

There will be early morning pitch inspections for the following games: Clachnacuddin v Fraserburgh; Forres Mechanics v Formartine United; Brechin City v Brora Rangers.
