Nominations for the 2023 Mowi Shinty Awards are now open with the Badenoch clubs expected to be in the running once again for the major accolades.

The awards recognise the extraordinary efforts and incredible endeavour required to deliver shinty throughout the 2023 shinty season.

This year’s awards are again based on the important values on which the sport and their communities are built upon to which sponsors Mowi and the Camanachd Association operate.

Players, coaches and club officials from Kingussie, Newtonmore and Badenoch starred in last year’s awards.

All three clubs are likely to feature strongly again with Kingussie favourites to add the league title to the Camanachd Cup and Newtonmore currently in second spot whilst the Badenoch ladies claimed the top-flight title again.

The closing date for this year’s nominations is 5pm on Monday 30 October with the awards ceremony taking place in the Highland Cinema, Cameron Square, Fort William at 4pm on Saturday 18 November.

Shinty supporters can make their nominations by visiting the Camanachd Association website this link and www.shinty.com .
