Strathspey Thistle's match away at Rothes this evening has been called off because of the wintry weather.

Highland League bosses have just announced the postponement which means that the wait continues for Brian Ritchie to take charge of his first Jags match since his return to the post.

A pitch inspection was carried out earlier this morning and the Mackessack Park playing surface was ruled to be unsafe for players because of the heavy frost.

Wick Academy's home game to Brora Rangers, also scheduled to be played tonight, has also been postponed because of the snow.

There is a planned pitch inspection at 11am for Nairn County who are due to welcome Clachnacuddin this evening.
