New Jags manager Rob MacCormack is hopeful that the Jags will finally be back in action this weekend.

With milder temperatures forecast for tomorrow, he hopes he will oversee his third game in charge – at home to Turriff – since taking on the post in mid February.

MacCormack said: “We’re raring to go and training pretty hard on the basis that we will at last get the chance to play at Turriff.

“We will obviously have to be at our very best because they are a neat and tidy team who like to use the ball well.

“There were some positives from our last match against Brora despite the defeat. Our job is to turn positive play into positive results.”

On the injury front, he said: “Ross Logan has suffered an ankle knock but we think he’ll be okay to play and at last we will see Michael McKenzie making his debut for us. He certainly is raring to go.”

Tomorrow's opponents led twice against Lossiemouth but in the end had to settle for a 2-2 draw at the weekend.

Just one point separated the sides, and the on-field action was as close as the league suggested.

Kyle Gordon gave the visitors the lead after 12 minutes, with Liam Archibald levelling the scores on the half hour mark.

Fergus Alberts’ first goal for Turriff had them back ahead on the hour mark, before Niall Kennedy’s penalty saw the spoils shared.
