The Jags' final game of the year – a tough fixture at home to Brora Rangers – has been called off.

The Grantown club has just confirmed that the Seafield Park playing surface is snowbound.

The Highland League game will be postponed with a date still to be announced.

There had been concerns whether today's game would beat the snow.

However, the postponement will give Ross Logan and Kane Davies time to recover from ankle knocks and Taylor Sutherland will also be available after being away this weekend.

The Cattachs find themselves down in an unusual eighth place but they have several games in hands on the top teams and they will be back in the title race if they get maximum points.

It was a blank previous weekend for both teams with the Jags game at Huntly being called off early last Saturday morning because of a waterlogged pitch.

Fellow strugglers Clach picked up another point with a 0-0 draw at Deveronvale in the only Highland League fixture to beat the weather last weekend.
