Schroders Battle of the Brits – Scotland versus England, featuring Jamie and Andy Murray and Britain's top male tennis players, has been rescheduled for December 21 and 22 at Aberdeen's P&J Live.

The event, previously scheduled for the same dates last December was postponed in the interests of public health following the outbreak of the Omicron Covid-19 variant.

With Andy Murray confirmed to play alongside Jamie, the competition will give fans the chance to watch the Murray brothers play live in Scotland for the first time since 2016.

They will spearhead what likely to be a strong home side against an accomplished England line-up featuring Dan Evans and some of the brightest tennis talents from south of the border.

Tournament director Jamie Murray said: "We were gutted when the event couldn't go ahead as planned so it's brilliant news that we're able to reschedule for December this year.

"There has been such fantastic buzz around bringing Battle of the Brits to Aberdeen and I think that's only going to get bigger throughout the year.

"I know Andy and the rest of the players are already excited and I'm sure there will be plenty of competitive chat amongst us all between now and the first ball being hit."

All tickets originally booked for December 2021 will be valid at this December's rescheduled event plus a small number of additional tickets are also now available via the P&J Live and Ticketmaster here
