The Newtonmore seconds caught up on one of their games in hand when they beat the Lovat seconds 4-1 at Balgate last night.

The Blue and Whites are in the driving seat for Mowi North Division 1 but only if they win their games in hand as they play catch-up on the leading pack.

‘More took the lead on the half hour through Craig MacLeod.

There was a scoring burst late in the half with Struan Ross making it 2-0 on 38 minutes but Dylan Brockie pulled a goal back a minute later.

However with just a couple of first half minutes remaining, Struan Ross got his second so the visitors took a 3-1 lead into the break.

That’s the way it stayed until a minute from time when Glen MacKintosh scored to seal a 4-1 win.
