Strathspey Thistle have confirmed another player contract extension as the squad rebuild at Seafield Park gathers pace.

Adding a year to his current deal, Joe Cuthbert has agreed to remain in a Jags shirt until the end of the 2023-24 season.

The 22-year old, who came through the youth ranks of Nairn County, first arrived at Seafield Park in 2020, following a short spell on loan with Burghead Thistle.

His first full season came in 2021-22, and he soon found a regular place in the starting eleven under then manager Charlie Brown. He has since gone on to make 68 appearances for the club, playing in defence and midfield.

Team manager Robert MacCormack said: "Delighted Joe has committed to another year to the club. Since I’ve came in his commitment has been excellent and gives his all in every game. Looking forward to getting him back in for pre season and getting ready for next season."
