The leading pack in the Highland League all emerged victorious, as Buckie Thistle were left frustrated by another late postponement.

Jags' top-of-the-table clash with Banks O' Dee was postponed less than an hour before kick off, the sixth home game Buckie have lost in the past three months with Victoria Park struggling to drain water.

While Jags face a major catch-up with 20 league games still to play, champions Brechin City moved four points clear at the top with a 6-1 win at bottom club Strathspey Thistle.

Grady McGrath took his goal tally for the season to 29 with a double and Jamie Richardson also netted twice for Gavin Price's side in Grantown.

Elgin City striker Dylan Lawrence scored on his Lossiemouth loan debut to help the Coasters defeat Rothes in the Moray derby at Grant Park.

Lawrence's 66th minute strike was quickly followed by a Brandon Hutcheson goal, and although Jake Thomson pulled one back for Rothes, Ryan Farquhar sealed the Coasters' 3-1 win in the final minute.

Keith went down 4-1 to Brora Rangers in a match switched to Brora's Sutherland neighbours Golspie due to pitch problems at Dudgeon Park.

Two James Wallace goals and one each for Jordan MacRae and Ali Sutherland had the Cattachs in command with Craig Gill managing a consolation for the Maroons.

The shock result of the day was Inverurie Locos' stunning 6-0 win at home to Nairn County.

County had lost just one of their previous 13 outings, winning 11 while Inverurie had been showing steady improvement after a horror start to the campaign but were still languishing in the bottom six.

Paul Coutts early penalty set Locos up for their best result of the season by far. They led by four at the break with Myles Gaffney, Nathan Meres and Jay Halliday also scoring.

Beleaguered Nairn had veteran Ross Tokely sent off after the break and Tam Reid added a fifth, before Gaffney's tenth goal in nine games sealed an incredible win for the home side.

Formartine United closed the gap on Banks O' Dee in second spot with a 3-0 win over Clach, Julian Wade, Aaron Reid and Graeme Rodger getting the goals.

Huntly returned to form with a 5-1 dismantling of Deveronvale.

Ryan Sewell and Angus Grant scored two apiece and top scorer Andy Hunter also netted with Ryan Park's fourth goal in three games for Vale a mere consolation.

Fraserburgh maintained their outside title chances with a 3-0 win at home to Wick Academy despite finishing the game with nine men.

Logan Watt's early strike had Broch ahead at the break and he added a second after sub Willie West came on to find the net.

But West was also dismissed for two bookings, shortly after team-mate Josh Bolton was shown a straight red for an off-the-ball incident.

Forres Mechanics' clash with Turriff United was also postponed.
