Strathspey Thistle will travel to Lossiemouth – a ground which has been one of their more successful away venues – buoyed by a great midweek win against Forres Mechanics.

Boss Charlie Brown had gone into the two fixtures targetting six points.

And the first objective was achieved when the Grantown side pulled off an impressive 3-1 win on Wednesday night over his former team.

Victory saw Thistle leapfrog Turriff United and guarantee their Highland League safety.

They head to Moray tomorrow to play the team one place but 10 points above them in the table.

Brown observed: “Lossie are the same as Forres. They are scoring goals at the moment and they had a good win against Nairn County which might have surprised a lot of people.

“They are a hard-working team and will fight for 90 minutes. We know that it is going to be a difficult shift against them as well but we will go into the match in confident mood looking to make it six points from the two games."
