Strathspey Thistle remain at the foot of the Highland League after losing 4-2 against Lossiemouth United at Grant Park last night.

The Moray side had been buoyed by wins against Forres and Wick and made it three in a row with their success over the Grantown visitors who have a good record at the away ground.

But goals by twin brothers Liam and Ross Archibald, Ross Elliot and a late Baylee Campbell clincher did the business for the Coasters.

Elgin City loan striker Owen Loveland did make it 1-1 with his first Jags goal and Liam Taylor pulled it back to 3-2 for Charlie Brown's side.

Meanwhile two Greg Morrison goals and a first Highland League goal for Matheus Machado got Rothes their first league victory of the season at Keith.

The Speysiders bounced back from a 4-0 home loss to Brora on Saturday by taking all three points in the Moray derby at Kynoch Park.

They had to come from behind, with Kieran Mooney crashing home a drive shortly before the break to put the Maroons ahead.

With Keith poised for an interval lead, Rothes had other ideas and turned the match on it's head before half time.

A Keith lad did some of the damage to his home town team with Morrison pouncing on 42 minutes to level the scores.

It got even better for the visitors when new boy Machado struck his first Rothes goal since his move from Elgin City with a neat solo effort.

Morrison made it 3-1 shortly after half time but Keith refused to give in and sub Przemyslaw Nawrocki's penalty made Ross Jack's side sweat it out for the three points.

Huntly's search for a first win continued as a red card for goalkeeper Fraser Hobday hampered their challenge at home to Formartine United.

A Gavin Elphinstone strike put Huntly ahead but they suffered a double whammy before half time.

Hobday rushed out and fouled United striker Jonny Smith and was shown a straight red card, and minutes later Smith beat replacement keeper Euan Storrier on the stroke of half time to level the scores.

Mark Gallagher netted what proved to Formartine's winner before the hour mark, and Huntly also had stopper James Connelly sent off in stoppage time.

Inverurie Locos won 3-0 at Deveronvale with an Innes McKay own goal and efforts by Lloyd Robertson and Garry Wood seeing them to victory.

Turriff United's fine start continued with a 1-1 draw at home to league newcomers Banks O' Dee.

Dee were buoyant after an 8-0 win over Keith at the weekend and edged in front through Jack Henderson's penalty midway through the second half.

But Dean Donaldson's men refused to accept defeat and Rory Brown struck with seven minutes left to snatch a point.

Wick Academy avenged a 3-0 North Cup defeat at the hands of Clach, beating the Inverness side 1-0 at Harmsworth Park thanks to Harry Hennem's free kick in the second half.
