Global event at Aviemore Parkrun

This morning saw the staging of another fantastic Aviemore parkrun.

No fewer than 126 athletes from all over the UK and further afield enjoyed the 5km out and back course on the Speyside Way at Dalfaber.

Donald Bennet, a visitor from Walthamstow in East London, crossed the line first in 17:01 – but as race director Peter Wright told the Strathy: "It’s all about participation at Parkrun and we had a great range of finish times and PBs all over the place!
