Strathspey Thistle and Clachnacuddin show their support to Ukraine before Highland League match at Grantown on Spey

Strathspey Thistle and Clachnacuddin showed an act of solidarity with Ukraine before their Highland League clash at Grantown-on-Spey on Wednesday night.

The two teams jointly held a Ukranian flag and were pictured together at Seafield Park to show their support to lives affected by the war in Ukraine due to the Russian invasion.

Clachnacuddin also wore their third kit which is coloured yellow with Strathspey playing in their traditional home kit of blue to match the colours of the flag of Ukraine.

Clachnacuddin won the match 4–2 with Robbie Thompson giving them a 1–0 lead at the break.

James Anderson doubled their advantage in the second half with Thompson adding a third.

Strathspey pulled one back before Connor Bunce made it 4–1 with the hosts grabbing a late consolation.
