Grantown Tennis Club was the venue on Saturday for the end of season Galbraith Highland District Tennis Leagues one day tournament which was won by Rothes.

More than 60 players from clubs all over the Highlands took part in the friendly competition to officially conclude the Highland tennis leagues.

The fixtures were played between the end of April to the end of June.

Trophies were handed out to the winners at the conclusion of the tournament with Grantown A winning the mixed division two and being promoted to the top-flight.

It was also a very good campaign for Kingussie A who finished runners-up in Ladies Division One.

Saturday's American tournament saw players mix with those from other clubs to play four rounds of doubles with the points added together at the end of two-and-half hours of play to determine winning players and overall club winner.

After an initial windy start, it turned into a lovely afternoon for tennis and socialising with refreshments and raffle tickets also on sale.
