East meets West in ladies shinty clash this weekend

The ladies representative matches between the East and the West takes place at Mossfield in Oban this Sunday (October 1) and the strath will have a whole host of players at both levels.

Badenoch players Jeanette McGregor, Sarah Caird, Rhona McIntyre, Mairi Stewart, Eilidh Ross, Kirsty Deans, Hope Borthwick, Megan Ralph and Zoe Reid (pictured right) have all been included. Throw-up is at 2.30pm.

The match is preceded by the meeting between the East and West at under-16 level which has a 12.30pm throw-up. Badenoch players Eleanor Anderson, Chloe Baikie, Lexi Farquhar, Millie Lavin and Alice Lavin have all been selected whilst there is also a place for Rosie Trussel from Strathspey Camanachd in Grantown.

The Macaulay Association is the match sponsor.

• Strathspey overcame Skye Camanachd B 3-0 in their Mowi North Division 2 match at Pairc nan Laoch in Portree on Saturday.

Charlotte Bisset scored twice in this noon throw up with Amy Low getting the other in a good win for the Grantown side.

Badenoch B have gone second in the table after beating Strathglass 4-2 in their Mowi North Division 2 clash at Cannich on Sunday.

Millie Lavin, Eleanor Anderson, Orla Olds and Lexi Farquhar got the Badenoch goals in this 1.30pm throw up with Eilidh MacKenzie and Freya Strachan countering.
