Clachnacuddin have confirmed that chairman Alex Chisholm along with directors Scott Dowling and Chris Forbes have resigned from their positions at the club with immediate effect.

The announcement was made on Sunday morning that the trio have decided to leave the Highland League club.

The Merkinch outfit have confirmed their departure as they start the process of finding their replacements.

In a statement, the club said: "The football club can confirm this week we have accepted the resignation of Alex Chisholm (chairman), Scott Dowling (director) and Chris Forbes (director) who have declared they are to stand down from their position as directors of the football club with immediate effect.

"The club would like to put on record our huge appreciation for the efforts and commitment of Alex, Scott and Chris throughout the many of years of involvement at the football club.

"And particularly their continued support in ensuring a smooth transition between now and the end of the season whilst handing over their individual responsibilities."

The club said further updates will be issued within the coming weeks.

The news came after Clach suffered a 2-0 defeat to Brechin City at Grant Street Park.

Clach are second bottom of the Highland League in 17th place but are 10 points ahead Strathspey Thistle at the foot of the table.
