Contin Forest hosted over 800 cyclists at the weekend for the gruelling 17th Strathpuffer 24-hour cycling race - one of the toughest races in the sport in the UK.

Martin Ross from Dingwall won the men's competition for the second time in his career with 25 laps in a time of 24 hours 18 minutes and two seconds.

Sofia Christiansen from Newton Stewart won the women's title for the first time in her career when she completed 18 laps in a time of 23 hours, 37 minutes and 34 seconds.

Pairs, quads and an eight competition also took place at the 24 hour challenge.
