Frost and ice reign across Badenoch and Strathspey roads network

All routes in the strath are being treated this morning, confirm Highland Council's roads team.

The roads condition report issued at 8.36 confirmed: "There are frost and ice patches across the network.

"But no known overnight issues."

On the Nairn side, there are damp roads throughout the area with the odd frost patch.

All routes being treated but, again, no known overnight issues.

Across the Inverness area, it's a cold morning with a light dusting of snow left from last night.

"Crews are covering all routes and footpaths. No known issues."

No schools or nurseries have had to close today as a result of bad weather.

There are currently no Met Office warnings covering the Highlands. Information on weather warnings are available on the Met Office website.
