Young entertainers in the strath can consider themselves "well in" next week, thanks to a local dance school.

Cairngorm School of Dance and Borealis Theatre Arts are bringing a touch of the

West End to Badenoch and Strathspey for Easter.

The Musical Theatre workshop "Oliver!" is running over three days from Monday (15) to Wednesday 17 at St Columba’s Church in the Boat of Garten.

Participants will have the opportunity to experience all the elements of musical theatre; singing, dancing and acting, culminating in a performance of Oliver on the Wednesday evening.

Lorraine Hemmings (pictured) of Borealis Theatre Arts said: “Both myself and Heather Cooney from Cairngorm School of Dance are absolutely delighted by the response so far and are really looking forward to showcasing thetalents of local children.

"We are very excited to be working in partnership with each other, to combine the

skills and knowledge we have developed over many years working as performers

and practitioners.

"This is a partnership we intend to develop in the future, offering more workshops and projects to local children throughout the year."

Heather has previously worked as an assistant choreographer to Karen Bruce on her national tour of Footloose and Lorraine has extensive experience working as a professional singer and actor.
