Kessock Bridge has reopened for a closure earlier this afternoon.

Both lanes of the A9 were shut as emergency services responded to a call relating to 'concern for a person'.

Police, ambulance and Coastguard personnel were seen at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We were called around 12.44pm to a report of a concern for person on the Kessock Bridge. Emergency services attended and they were taken to hospital for assessment."

The road was closed for around an hour from about 1pm to 2pm.
