'Unplanned' power outage leaves over 150 homes near Tomintoul without electricity

Over 150 homes are without electricity this morning after an unplanned power outage north-east of Tomintoul.
The power cut has affected properties in 17 different postcodes in the AB37 range, including:
AB37 9DR, 9EJ,9EL, 9EN, 9HL, 9JA, 9JB, 9JD, 9JE, 9JJ, 9JL, 9JN, 9JP, 9JQ, 9JR, 9JS and 9JT.
Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) Engineers are now on site and aim to restore power by midday.
It is not known if the outage, which was reported to SSEN at 8.48am, is related to yellow weather warnings from the Met Office – issued yesterday – raising concern in areas throughout the Highlands of the threat of rain and ice.

A statement from SSEN on Powertrack said: "We're sorry for the loss of supply. We currently have a fault affecting the areas listed. Our engineers are on site working hard to get the power back on as quickly as they can."
