Aviemore man banned from ex after two assaults

A 40-year-old Aviemore man has been banned from contacting his former partner for two years after he admitted assaulting her twice, once when she was pregnant.

Craig Brown of Sluggan Drive, also pleaded guilty at Inverness Sheriff Court to acting in a threatening or abusive manner and damaging property including a TV set at two houses in Portree.

The offences all took place between September 22, 2017 and April 30, 2020.

Brown was ordered to take part in a programme for male domestic abusers and remain under social work supervision for two years.

Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald also imposed a conduct requirement that Brown discloses the name of any partner he has to his supervising officer.
