Badenoch and Strathspey roads sees rising temperatures

In Badenoch and Strathspey temperatures are recovering quicker than forecast in the south of the strath, reports Highland Council.

The day's roads bulleting issued at 8.47 reports ice in the northern part of the strath, though.

"Topping up salt on network prior to a cold dry weekend," the spokesperson reports.

On neighboruing Inverness/Nairn routes precipitation is light or has stopped, so topping up salt is going on across the network before the expected cold and dry weekend.

There are currently no Met Office warnings covering the Highlands.
