Temperatures rising again on Badenoch and Strathspey roads

Badenoch and Strathspey's roads started out this morning with negative temperatures but a warming up as the day goes on.

This morning's roads conditions report, issued by Highland Council at 6.46am, confirmed that all primary and secondary routes continue to be treated.

No known overnight issues were reported.

On surrounding Inverness routes, there were some cold roads this morning but temperatures were on the rise, with roads being treated in the Tomatin and Leys areas.

"No known issues."

Nairn areas recorded negative road surface temperatures on higher ground.

"Primary and secondary routes are being treated. No winter action on lower routes required and no known overnight issues."

There were no school closures in the strath or beyond.
