Surfacing improvements planned for a section of the A95 Aviemore-Keith road west of Congash have been rescheduled.

The roadworks had been programmed to start on Monday but have been delayed due to operational reasons.

They will now begin next Tuesday (May 3) at 8am for five days. No works will take place on Saturday or Sunday.

All work is expected to be completed by 5.30pm the following Monday (May 9).

A BEAR Scotland spokesperson said: "Traffic management will remain the same as originally programmed, temporary traffic lights and a 10mph convoy system will be in place between 8am and 5.30pm each day.

"The convoy system will be removed out with working hours, however, due to the nature of works, temporary traffic signals and a single lane closure may be left in place over some nights."

He added that all relevant stakeholders have been informed of the changes.
