Strong winds expected in Badenoch and Strathspey with Storm Jocelyn on way

A Met Office Yellow warning for wind and rain is in place today, and from 6pm an Amber warning for wind for western and northern Scotland.

A spell of strong winds associated with Storm Jocelyn is expected to affect western and northern Scotland from Tuesday evening, leading to possible disruption to travel and utilities.

This morning roads in Badenoch and Strathspey (7am) had frost patches with negative road surface temperatures across the road network.

Temperatures have been rising throughout the morning.

Primary and Secondary routes being treated across the network.

There were no known overnight issues.

On surrounding Inverness routes some icy patches were reported this morning on high routes, gritting as needed.

No further issues on the network.

A a number of schools or nurseries closed today as a result of Storm Isha.
