Boat of Garten market event is winded

A much anticipated Strathspey Christmas Market forced outdoors by the Covid crisis will have to wait beause of high winds.

Boat of Garten Community Hall has posted: "We are absolutely gutted to inform you that the Christmas Market is having to be postponed on Health and Safety grounds due to the high winds forecast for this whole weekend.

"The last thing we want to do is cancel an event that everyone has been looking forward to, but we have to make sure everyone is safe, and we rely on the Market Stall provider as an expert in these things. "

The event will hopefully now be staged on Saturday December 5.

"In the meantime, stallholders have been encourage to use the Event page as an online Market Place - so please have a look and try to Shop Local for Christmas!"
