Parkrunners keep up at the pace at Aviemore

THERE was another huge turnout for Aviemore's parkrun on Saturday.

Nearly 100 enthusiasts turned out to celebrate the 104th event by taking on the popular course in their own way, be it running or walking.

All 96 completed the course, including 46 first-timers. New personal bests were set by 15 of the participants, with no less than 23 different clubs represented.

Organiser Hilary Quick said: "In contrast to last week, the rain held off until after the event!"

She was backed up by a sterlilng team of volunteers: Peter Shepherd, Jane Shepherd, Annie Fraser, Janice Cargill, Bill Dewitt, Lynsey Whyte, obion Whyte, Iain Pentland and Andy Bytheway.
