The Strathspey steam railway has confirmed that it will be running its popular Christmas services.

They festive trains will operate on Saturday 9th, Sunday 10th, Saturday 16th, Sunday 17th, Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd December.

There will be no further services in 2023 after the December 22 service.

There had been some uncertainty this year whether the festive trains would run on the line between Aviemore and Broomhill.

The SRC posted on social media: "Enjoy festive family fun as you travel by heritage steam train through the stunning (and hopefully snowy) Cairngorms winter landscape.

"All children will have the chance to meet Santa at Aviemore Station, however, this year there will be no presents.

Tickets can be booked and more information is available via this link
