Wind farm developer Infinergy is continuing with its public consultation over extending its wind farm at Tom na Clach.

Infinergy, together with Cawdor Estates, developed the wind farm on the Dava Moor and both parties always considered there to be potential for an extension to the operational site.

The company is now looking to add up to seven turbines and is now going through the pre-application consultation process.

In-person open days took place earlier this week in Tomatin and Carrbridge.

All of the appropriate Covid-19 guidance was followed at these events but for members of the public who did not feel comfortable visiting in person all of the information is available on the new project website.

Project director Nick Sage said: “Tom na Clach is an outstanding operational wind farm, with almost double the energy production compared to the UK average and the proposed extension will make use of the existing infrastructure, which means less disruption during construction.”

Live ‘chat’ sessions on the proposal will also take place online on Tuesday (November 2) from 2pm-4pm and 5pm-7pm and Wednesday (November 3) from 2pm-4pm and 5pm-7pm.
