Into December on strath roads and winter bites

All roads are being treated in wintry Badenoch and Strathspey, with ice patches now spreading throughout the area, say Highland Council's roads team.

The roads condition report issued this morning at 7.30am confirmed a light dusting of snow at the south end.

"Drive with care is advised."

But there were no known overnight issues to report.

On surrounding Inverness area routes, damp roads were affected by the low roadside temperatures.

"Covering all routes and footpaths this morning. No known issues."

On the Nairn side, ice patches throughout the area were the problem, with a light dusting of snow on higher routes.

But again there were no known overnight issues.
