Another casualty has emerged of Storm Malik... Aviemore's community storage shed.

ACE chairwoman Judith Bell said: "Our storage shed at Aviemore Royal British Legion was unfortunately demolished by Storm Malik on Saturday.

"Thanks to those who raised the alarm meaning we could rescue the contents – and to the person who weighed down the shed remains to stop it blowing further and possibly causing more damage.

"The contents are now stored safely at homes of board members."

But where has it gone?

The metal storage shed had only been installed last year after previous years of issues with keeping community items.

ACE board members were to discuss replacement permanent storage for the winter lights and the other items kept in the shed at their latest meeting.

A possible site has been identified by Dalfaber Drive in Aviemore where there are plans for a community park although the project remains in its early stages.
