SCHOOL CLOSURES: Thousands of pupils again affected by bad weather disruption across Highlands

THOUSANDS of pupils across the Highlands are today again being affected by bad weather as scores of schools flag plans to stay closed or to open late.

Transport has been hit in some areas and the overarching message from schools to parents, carers and staff is to stay safe.

A Met Office weather warning for snow and ice across the Highlands remains in place until noon today.

Highland Council's closure update list contained the following at 8am this morning:
