Roads in Badenoch and Strathspey treated for oncoming frost

Badenoch and Strathspey roads today are reported as "generally wet".

Highland Council's condition report, issued at 8.34, confirmed: "Some marginal temperatures on higher routes.

"Precautionary treatment ahead of forecasted overnight frost to reinforce salt levels."

After the chaos of Storm Gerrit there were currently no known problems, the spokesperson said.

In surrounding areas on the Nairn side the report was generally the same.

The Met Office have issued a Yellow Warning for rain and snow for Highland throughout the weekend.
