Today's road report for Badenoch and Strathspey

Highland Council's winter road team are continuing to battle wintry conditions on local roads.

Just after seven this morning, though, reports were of only patches of localised snow on strath roads.

The main problem is a widespread frost, causing some icy patches across the area.

"Roads are being treated."

But the spokesperson stressed: "Drivers must be aware that conditions can change rapidly and make their own assessment of conditions for travelling."

In neighbouring Inverness areas the problem is wet roads with a small amount of snow on higher roads.

"Temperature around zero all over. Covering all routes and footpaths."

The UK Met Office currently has as no weather warnings in place for today.
