Skills Development Scotland’s Results Helpline will now remain open until August 28 to support young people and their parents and carers at this unique time.

It follows the Scottish Government’s decision to award students their teacher recommended grades.

SDS’s expert advisers will be available on 0808 100 8000 to help young people, and their parents and carers understand what changes to their results mean, help them explore their options and consider next steps.

The helpline is open from 9am until 5pm on weekdays and help is also available at Scotland’s careers website, myworldofwork.co.uk My World of Work.

Direct messages via My World of Work’s Facebook page will continue to be answered by Helpline advisers during this time.

Young people can also contact their SDS school careers adviser for support.

SDS Results Helpline’s Team Leader Pauline Graham said: “We know some young people and their parents and carers may be feeling worried and uncertain at the moment. We felt it was important to extend the Results Helpline so people can continue to get expert advice on their options before deciding on what is best for them.”
