Police are investigating after a derelict estate building went up in flames last night in Badenoch.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent three crews - from Grantown, Kingussie and Newtonmore - to the Cluny Estate just to the west of Newtonmore after the alarm was raised at 7.40pm
They soon had the fire under control and received the stop call from HQ at 8.44pm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Strathy: "Around 8.15pm on Saturday, April 20, police were called to a report of a fire at a derelict building on Laggan Road Balgowan West, Newtonmore.
"Officers attended and assisted SFRS.
"Enquiries will be carried out to establish the cause of the fire.”
