Police seek witnesses after A9 near miss

WITNESSES are being sought after a near miss on the A9 involving a car transporter and tractor.

Police officers said the incident occurred on the A9 near Kingussie on Sunday afternoon.

"Around 12.40pm on Sunday, a northbound fully-laden car transporter overtook a car towing a caravan causing an oncoming tractor to take evasive action by leaving the carriageway onto the verge," said a police spokesman.

"Officers are appealing to anyone with information to come forward, including the driver of the tractor.
