Police have confirmed the body of a woman has been found in an Inverness property.

Police have discovered a woman's body in an Inverness building.

Although she still has to be formally identified, the family of missing Merkinch woman Danielle Guhl has been informed.

Police had issued appeals for information after the 40-year-old went missing earlier this month.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.30pm on Wednesday 26 July, officers discovered the body of a woman in a property on Diriebught Road, Inverness.

"Formal identification is yet to take place, but the family of missing woman Danielle Guhl have been informed.

"Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
