Police investigating second report of bicycle thefts in Aviemore

Police appeal for information after more bikes were stolen in Aviemore.

A second report of bicycles being stolen in the Aviemore area is being investigated by Police Scotland.

Police are now encouraging all residents the village and the surrounding area to ensure their sheds and garages are locked.

Sergeant Johnstone, who is based at Aviemore police station, said: ‘Thankfully thefts in Aviemore and the surrounding areas are relatively rare.

"We are aware of two separate incidents in Aviemore which have happened between Tuesday night and Thursday morning whereby bicycles have been stolen from separate addresses.

"I am asking all residents to pay particular attention to the security of their valuables and report any suspicious activity to Police as soon as possible."

Anyone who has any information regarding the thefts should contact Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number NM68/22.
