Four men who assaulted and robbed a man in Aviemore during the Thunder in the Glens Festival are being hunted by police.

Officers have appealed for information following the robbery outside the Winking Owl Pub in Aviemore's Grampian Road at around 2pm on August 27.

"Four other men attacked a male, taking an item from him," said a police spokesman. "Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed or filmed this incident.

"If you have any information regarding this incident, you can contact Police on 101 or by using the 'Contact Us' form on the Police Scotland website."

People can also report information anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.
