Police confirm body found at the Spey Valley golf course in Aviemore

Police have confirmed that the body of a man was found near Spey Valley golf course in Aviemore yesterday.

Formal identification has yet to take place but the family of 72-year-old James Brannan reported missing on February 8 has been made aware.

The body was discovered at around 2.30pm. Police said the death is not believed to be suspicious.

A report is to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
