NHS Highland gave the Strathy a sneak peak inside its brand new £48 million National Treatment Centre this week.

The site is just weeks away from welcoming its first patients in mid-April.

And to celebrate the imminent opening of a site which promises to cut patient waiting times, NHS Highland has showcased the centre at Inverness Campus and its capabilities.

Once fully operational it will be capable of seeing more than 900 outpatients every week, and will also offer 24 patient beds, five operating theatres and 13 consulting rooms.

And, as well as our sneak peak, the public will also get their chance to visit and tour the site before it becomes an operational hospital.

The National Treatment Centre will be open to the public on April 1 and 2 between 10am -5pm. Each tour will be an hour-long duration and slots are on a booking system basis. Those visiting the centre must book a place in order to attend.

There will also be a fun Easter egg hunt to take part in for those taking children along to the open days.

To book a place for one of the public open day slots, please visit www.eventbrite.com/e/ntc-public-open-days-tickets-596900002977.
