Ruaridh Ormiston, of Highland Horse Fun at Kingussie, posted:

"Many thanks to everyone for all the help in sharing and leads.

"It looks like the Land Rover and trailer were stolen to be used in a robbery."

They were taken from Kingussie between 6pm on Friday and 9:30am today from Mr Ormiston's yard at Kingussie Railwsy Station.

He promptly posted an appeal on social media: "Land Rover green double cab 110 pickup with Ifor Williams canopy and attached to Ifor Williams 12ft Livestock Trailer - has our signs in the side too and roof rack - it no longer has the bull bar.

"If spotted please call the Police

"Please share and make it too hot to handle."

The appeal seems to have helped trace the stolen items as now Mr Ormiston has posted: "Many thanks to everyone for all the help and sharing and leads - looks like it was stolen to be used in a robbery - Landrover found East of us and Trailer found in Central Belt.

"Both are now with police for forensics and looks like they are both unharmed - many thanks again."
