There has been one additional confirmed case of coronavirus in the Highlands in the past 24 hours, new figures have shown.

It means the total recorded by NHS Highlands goes up to 339.

The number of people being treated in hospital with suspected or confirmed Covid-19 stayed at six, while the number of people in intensive care is still fewer than five.

Some 21 people have tested positive across the whole of Scotland in the last 24 hours, taking the national total to 15,603.

And 2415 people have died across the country since the outbreak began, a rise of six on the same point yesterday.

Elsewhere in the north, NHS Grampian recorded no new positive tests in the past day, remaining on an overall tally of 1284. Its hospitals were also treating 62 people for the disease, with fewer than five receiving treatment in intensive care.
